Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Nexus Health Labs (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the mobile application Water Reminder (the “App”) on iOS and Android.

Water Reminder is a minimal hydration tracker. We do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising SDKs.

2. Information we process

Depending on how you use the App, the following data may be stored on your device:

• Hydration data — water you log each day, your daily goal, and today’s progress. Values are stored internally in milliliters (ml), even if you choose to display fluid ounces (fl oz) in the App.
• App preferences — unit system (ml or fl oz) and similar settings saved locally via the device’s app storage.
• Widget data (iOS) — summary numbers shared with the home screen widget through an Apple App Group container (group.com.nexushealthlabs.waterreminder).

We do not collect payment information, health records from Apple Health or Health Connect, location, contacts, photos, microphone audio, or advertising identifiers.

3. How we use information

• To show your hydration progress, daily goal, and quick-add controls.
• To update home screen widgets when you log water in the App.
• To remember your unit preference (ml or fl oz).
• To show optional SnapBite cross-promotion when you choose to open it (see Section 4).

4. SnapBite cross-promotion (not third-party ads)

The App may show an in-app banner or dialog promoting SnapBite, our separate AI calorie scanner app. This is first-party cross-promotion only — we do not embed Google AdMob or other advertising SDKs, and we do not show the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.

If you tap a SnapBite promotion, the App opens the SnapBite listing in the App Store or Google Play using your device’s browser or store app. We do not send your hydration data to SnapBite as part of that tap.

5. Permissions and device access

The App requests minimal platform access:

• Android — Internet — used only to open external store links (SnapBite). Hydration tracking works offline.
• iOS — App Groups — allows the main App and its widget extension to share hydration summary data on your device. No special privacy usage string is shown for this.

The App does not request camera, microphone, location, notifications, photo library, motion/activity, or health platform read/write permissions.

6. Data storage and retention

Hydration data and settings are stored on your device. We do not operate a cloud account or backend server for Water Reminder at this time.

Data remains until you delete the App, reset today’s intake in Settings, or clear app storage in your device settings. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored data.

7. Sharing of information

We may share information only in these limited situations:

• App stores — when you open a SnapBite link, Apple or Google process that request under their own privacy policies.
• Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect safety and rights.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger or acquisition, with notice where required by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

8. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information and we will take steps to delete it.

9. Your rights and choices

• Change your daily goal and unit system (ml / fl oz) in Settings.
• Reset today’s intake in Settings.
• Uninstall the App to remove locally stored data.
• Ignore or dismiss SnapBite promotions — no hydration data is shared by doing so.

If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar regions, you may have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR. Contact us below to exercise them.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
